Eastern Warwickshire School Sport Partnership

This Partnership was launched in September 2004. It is based here at Harris School and Sports College and is headed up by Leesa Brennan, the Partnership Development Manager.

The National PE, School Sport and Club Links (PESSCL) strategy is delivered through School Sport Partnerships and is striving to create an environment in which all children have an entitlement to PE and Sport.

Our Partnership is one of four within Warwickshire (Northern, Southern, Eastern and Central) and we also work with Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire Sport (CSW Sport). Our Partnership incorporates 6 secondary schools and 1 special school. Each of these secondary schools has a School Sport Co-ordinator (SSCo) who not only develops opportunities in their own secondary school but also within their family primary schools.

Within the partnership there are 35 primary/infant/junior schools. Each of these schools is supported by a Primary Link Teacher (PLT) whose aim is to ensure that the maximum number of children benefit from opportunities offered by the Partnership.

Each Partnership also has a Competition Manager whose job it is to raise the quality and quantity of competitive opportunities for young people in their area. The Eastern Area Competition Manager is Emma Kerry, who is also based here at Harris School and Sports College.
